Would you like to take out a monthly or weekly transit pass and pay with your Skipr card?
It's now possible ! By linking your personal card to your Skipr card, you can pay for the entire public transport pass, the employer/employee split being done automatically.
Let's take an example:
Your company gives you €50 every month from your Skipr budget and pays 50% of your transport subscription. You want to take out a monthly transport subscription with the RATP worth €84.10.
You can pay the total amount (i.e. €88,80) with your Skipr card, €44,40 will be deducted from your Skipr budget (leaving €5,60 on it) and €44,40 will be debited from your bank account, via a direct debit authorization on the personal card you have added.
No need to advance the expenses to your company and be reimbursed on your pay slip, you will only pay the part you owe, i.e. the employee part!
How to add your personal card to your Skipr account?
- Go to the My payment methods section
- Click on Add a personal card
- A window opens and explains the functionality in 3 points
Once you have completed these first steps, you must first define the debit authorization you wish to create. Do not worry, this is not a direct debit as such but a pre-authorization that ensures that the amount is available if needed. It is therefore not taken into account in the balance of your bank account.
- Define an amount (for example 88.80€) and a merchant (for example RATP)
- You will see directly what is the employer and employee share according to the reimbursement percentage defined by your company
- Click on Add my card
💡 The bank imprint is automatically renewed every 7 days until the authorization is deleted.
Next, fill out the information needed to add your card:
- Add your home address then click Confirm
- Add your card information: card number, expiration date, CVC and cardholder then click on Confirm
That's it!
You can view, modify or delete a current authorization at any time by going to the My payment methods section and clicking on View my authorizations.
